Linccup is a free location based business and social networking and messaging app that helps bring people together in the real world. We believe that relationships are stronger when people meet face to face, and Linccup’s aim is to help you do this.
Search - We want to make it easy for you to find others in your area that might be useful business or social contacts. Search for people by the industry they work in, by their home town, by the college they attended, or by the team they follow, or by all of the above and more.
Invite - Are you travelling and want to use your spare time to make useful connections, prefer to eat with someone rather than order room service, or just want to find the best place to watch your team? Using our invitations and search functions, you’ll be able to pick what you want to do and find people to meet, all from your phone.
Contacts - Met someone new? Add them to your contact list and add comments to remind you who they were. Then include Tags to add them to one of your contact groups to more easily locate them. Are they a friend, a client, a potential future customer?
Free Messaging – once you have accepted an invitation from someone they will be added to your contact list. You can send unlimited text messages to anyone on this list for free.
Alerts - Linccup can also alert you when any of your contacts are nearby, using any of the tags you have added to their profiles. You’ll never miss another old buddy passing through town, never miss that important client, and we’ll make it easier for you and your friends to meet up.
FAQs
Does it use a lot of my battery?
No, we only activate your GPS chip when you are moving, and even then only periodically, Linccup will not use a large amount of your battery charge unless you are using it very frequently.
Will people always be able to see where I am?
No, we only ever show approximate distances, not specific location, and you can turn on Private Mode from the preferences page in the menu. This will make you invisible to all non contacts, and members of your contact list will still be able to send you messages, but will not see a distance associated with your profile. You will still see your location on the map, and which users are close by.
How do I delete contacts and messages?
Just swipe left, and hit delete. If you remove a contact from their list. We do not tell them that you have removed the contact connection.
What do you do with my information?
Your personal information will NEVER be shared with anyone. In the future, we may use some of your profile information to better target offers that you might find interesting, but no one outside of Linccup will see your personal details.
Who can see my contact list?
ONLY YOU… Your contact list is your Linccup address book. It allows you to easily organize and search your business/social contacts, but it is personal to you. Each of your contacts will have their own list.
